A beautiful heirloom artichoke softneck brought to the US around 1850. It is what we consider a more mild garlic for those who want the health benefits of eating garlic raw. Easily diguested. Has a great garlic flavor without the zing at the end. It is also great cooked with your favorite veggies. We like to chop it up raw and top our salads, baked potatoes, our salad dressings, in our garlic parmesean wings and of course roasted. Very versatile. Has a 6-8 month shelf life.
